Over a thirty year career as a museum director, educator, and curator, Harry Philbrick has used education programs to reposition a contemporary art museum’s reputation, leading to a dynamic contemporary art museum building in an historic district; led transformational curatorial and collecting change at the oldest museum in the country; launched a partnership-based startup with programming attracting a truly diverse audience to contemporary art events; and been an interim executive director laying the groundwork for a significant institutional restructuring.
